We recognized the need for a reliable and secure contact tracing system after the first Kenya Covid-19 case. CiTe is easy to use, safe, and available. Mr. Verol Nangani and Solomon Githu designed the system, both hardware and software embodiments. For privacy, the system uses SMS verification and can determine whether or not an individual is suitable for entry/use of services. We launched our the website on  August 2020, later participated in the EU: Africa The Post-Crisis Journey hackathon (December 2020), as well as the Wazihub Second Innovation Competition in (January 2021).
