For forest areas that have not been adequately fenced, this is a low-cost method. Sniffer is an infrared barrier fence used in forest areas where there is little to no fencing. When an animal crosses, the device raises a flag and alerts Forest Rangers to the exact exit point. This device is versatile and can be used in a variety of settings, including residences. The working prototype for this project was first presented at the 2018 DeKUT open air followed by the Central Kenya National Show.
